Community Engagement Update – 1st Tadcaster Scout Group

This evening I attended the 1st Tadcaster Scout Group and spoke with the young people about my role within the Police, highlighting how we are here to help, support, and keep our communities safe.

The group also had the opportunity to see some of the equipment a Police Officer carries as part of their daily duties, and they were able to have a look around a marked Police vehicle. The Scouts were enthusiastic, engaged, and asked plenty of great questions throughout the visit.

Positive engagement with local community groups like the Scouts is incredibly important. It helps build trust, encourages understanding of the work we do, and strengthens the relationship between the Police and the communities we serve.
